Chat-style conversations from the Qlik Sense data model

A Qlik Sense extension that shows conversations stored in an app's data model as chat-style message bubbles, for two or more participants, with search, keyword highlighting, side-by-side threads and click-to-select.

Chatbox.qs renders message bubbles for two parties talking back and forth, and extends to any number of participants. It needs one row per message, and warns when message IDs are not unique.

Highlights

  • Message bubbles with per-participant colours, avatars and author grouping.
  • Timestamps, badges and other per-message metadata, set through attribute expressions.
  • Several conversations side by side, one lane per thread.
  • Keyword highlighting by category, with a legend, and search within the conversation shown.
  • Click a participant or a message to make selections in Sense.
  • Copy a conversation as a text transcript or as JSON.
