Interactive onboarding tours for Qlik Sense apps, no coding required

A Qlik Sense extension for guided, step-by-step tours inside Sense apps. Tours highlight sheet objects or other page elements and explain them with Markdown text, and are built in a visual editor inside the app. Works on Qlik Cloud and client-managed Qlik Sense.

Drop Onboard.qs onto a Qlik Sense sheet to create walkthroughs that highlight objects, explain visualisations and help new users find their way around an app.

Highlights

  • A visual tour builder that opens inside the Sense app. Tours can also be edited in the property panel.
  • Several tours per sheet. Steps target sheet objects picked from a list, or any page element through a CSS selector.
  • Step descriptions in Markdown, with links, images and embedded video.
  • Tours can start automatically and show only once per user.
  • Theme presets and detailed styling, plus an optional “Start Tour” button in the app toolbar that sits next to HelpButton.qs.
  • Export tours to a JSON file and import them into other apps.

Requirements

  • Qlik Cloud, or Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows November 2025 or later. Older versions may work but are not tested.
